MetroWest Medical Center is a 450 bed integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of 2 acute care hospitals, the Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham and the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, and a Wellness Center in Framingham, all located just outside of Boston. Services include outpatient diagnostic imaging, a “Joint Success” program, a newly opened Center for Weight Management, extensive rehabilitation services, a full range of behavioral medicine programs, advanced cardiac care, high technological cancer care capabilities including radiation services, extensive surgical services that include many leading edge technologies, and comprehensive maternity services. MetroWest Medical Center also offers 24 hour Emergency Department Services at both hospitals.

MetroWest Medical Center has a strong commitment to the community, participating in health fairs in local communities, and offering free screenings and free health information. Sponsorship of health related events, health fairs held twice a year at the hospital and participation in most community health initiatives, along with free presentations to the public on a variety of health issues by staff and physicians makes MetroWest Medical Center a valuable and valued member of the communities we serve.
Recent awards, collaborations and successes
JCAHO full accreditation and various awards include awards from the United Way, American Cancer Society, Chambers of Commerce, and local organizations.The Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick successfully piloted a “30 Minute Door-to Doctor” initiative in the Emergency Department in 2006, an initiative that is in the final planning stages at the Framingham Union Hospital. The Framingham Union Hospital also was recently awarded a “Get with the Guidelines” award from the American Heart Association for excellence in treatment of stroke – one of only 3 hospitals in Massachusetts to receive such distinction.
MetroWest Medical Center is also proud of its affiliations with Children’s Hospital Boston Physicians and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both leaders in healthcare in Boston. With the addition of over 50 physicians to the medical staff just in the past year, MetroWest Medical Center continues to grow its services to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves.
